Forgetting when you gave him medicine last. 5. Being totally homebound. 6. Missing your normal, cute, happy child. 7. Not being able to take him to nursery. 8. I went through this just last week and trust me....I feel for you. Hope the little one gets better soon!
ReplyDeleteWell, it is a good list...but I'm sorry that he's not feeling well.
ReplyDeleteI also read your previous post about "real" mommy. Well, that struck a chord with me.
My "birth mommy" lives 2 hours away from me.
She refuses to see me.
She did not give me up for adoption. Instead of that level of honesty, she dropped four of us off at grandma's for weeks and months at a time until we were such a strain on grandma's fixed income that she had to call my dad and tell him to come get us, or watch us become wards of the state.
However, to call her my "real mommy" is an insult to my stepmom. From when I was 7 till I went to college, the "stepmother" helped provide for me, discipline me, and everything else that a mother should be. All for a snot-nosed, smart-aleck little brat who showed no gratitude whatsoever.
Well, I know who my "real mommy" is now. And I have nothing but gratitude for the woman who raised me, my three siblings, and her own son while she was a grieving widow. I wish I had clearer vision as a child.
But don't worry. Your son will know who his "real mommy" is. It's you.
Happy TT...and sorry this was so long. God bless.
I take it kiddo is sick huh? NEVER fun. Ever. It makes you feel so bad that you can't just make it better.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments, Bubba. That's a tough situation for a young kid to have to deal with. I'm so glad you had a mom that came through for you.
ReplyDeleteI'm also glad that my son's birthmom chose to place him with us. I have NOTHING BUT LOVE for her--I just think sometimes other people's comments can be hurtful.
I know what you mean. Sick kids! They are hard on everyone!
ReplyDeleteGreat post and I hope he feels better soon
ReplyDeleteUgh, poor kid. Those super high temperatures are most miserable! Hope he feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteAww, that's too bad about your kiddo being sick. Hope you get some rest as well!

ReplyDeleteOh, I hope he gets well soon! Sorry for the misery.
ReplyDeleteHey girl, I am in Spanish Fork. Nice to meet another Utah girl!
ReplyDeleteUgh. I hate sick. I hope your little one (and you) are feeling better soon. And wishing you lots of sleep!!
ReplyDeleteSounds just awful! Baby Boy hasn't had a real flu or cold, yet...but I know it's inevitable!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a back to normal, happy little one soon!
Thanks for stopping by~!
I can totally relate! My son had a fever spike once in the backseat of my car, ended up with him in a seizure. I was in the middle of no where, had to pull over to a strangers house for help and to call 911. A half hour after 911 got there we were in the ER and his temp at that time was 105.8, who knows how high it was when it happened.
ReplyDeleteI also find it very helpful to keep a notepad in the kitchen by the medicines, I write down the day and time I give medicine and how much and what medicine I gave them. A great way for me to not forget and helps me stay on track. Best wishes, I totally sympathize with this TT!
Sorry your little one is ill. I remember though that I was actually more fond than I should have been for that last day- when they felt better, but were still a bit worn out and all they wanted to do was cuddle.
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope he feels better soon!!! Sick ones are horrible!!
ReplyDeleteHappy TT!!
Poor baby! I hope he's feeling much better soon and you can catch up on your rest.
ReplyDeleteHaven't had any kids so far. Hope I will soon :) Hope yours get well soon.
