I have to come up with a camp name for myself, though, and I don't have a clue. Any suggestions? Others have names like Oreo, Sparkle, Uno, etc.
So don't be shy. Let's have a brainstorm!

Oh Oh Oh Oh I'm soooooooo jealous!!!! I was with the YCL's last summer at our stake's girls camp and I loved loved loved it!! And guess who can't go this year?? Me. (I'll have a 3 month old.. still nursing...) And that's ok. But still. I'll so miss it.
ReplyDeleteCamp name? Fun that you get to have one at girls camp. In high school when I went to Outdoor School as a counselor, my camp name was "Tiki" each time.
You'll have to let us know which name you choose. Have fun!
Too bad Sparkle is taken. That is Summer & Emily's favorite name. (They are hoping we name our next baby that!) :)
ReplyDeleteMy one camp name suggestion is Florence (after the town). I can't wait to see what you end up with!
Girls camp is good times! Hmm... I have only gone twice so far so I don't have a lot of experience with girls camp names. Have you done a search online? Sometimes people post good ones.
ReplyDeleteSassy, Flush, Songbird, Spike, RARA! are just a few we came up with.
ReplyDeleteI like Sparkle. But if that's taken, how about Sunshine. Reed suggests Salad. Who started that one, anyway? Was it Hank? How about Salsa? Kippy? Skippy? Skippity-doo-dah? Ok, it's getting late.
ReplyDeleteMay I suggest: TUFF- Testimony Unity Faith and Friends
ReplyDeleteWe used this for a Youth conference and it was wonderful.
I know you will do a great job.
Love, Grandma Forsgren
How about "Mustang" as in Mustang Sally?

Thanks for all the name ideas, you guys! If you think of any more, let me know. I don't think I have to decide for awhile, but I like several of your suggestions.
ReplyDeleteHow bout "Goldie"? In memory of your car and fish sticks in the cultural hall.
ReplyDeleteI also like "Mustang Sally."
Omigosh, Dani! I had totally forgotten about the fishsticks! Wow. Thanks for giving me a good laugh, and thanks for having a good memory!
ReplyDeleteHi Sal!!! I was reading some others suggestions about a "camp name" and started thinking all about "NANA" and the fun trip that she came on with me to the Sears Portrait Studio!!! I haven't gone there since!!!! (Poor lady)
ReplyDeleteAndrea, you crack me up--I'll never forget the fire in your eyes over that one! Hey, sometimes you just gotta let it loose, and it's better that you do that to a Sears Associate than your family, right?
ReplyDeleteSal, yes!!! I can think of another name but it too brings back angry memories. If you replaced the first N in nana to a D!!!HA!!
ReplyDeleteYour girls are so lucky to have you. I have very fond memories of second year girls camp with you. I am not good at the name thing but you could use the one we had when we were with you-problem is I don't remember it-do you???
