No need to call Child Protective Services.
Tyler got his first shiner yesterday...in Nursery, of all places! I guess he collided with a girl. This was taken yesterday--it looks way worse today. Bad enough that everywhere we went today people asked him what happened to his eye. All he would say is, "I'm okay now. I'm okay." One lady asked if it was an accident and he said, "No, I just ran away from her." I know people are thinking I'm a child-beater!
Poor little guy!
ReplyDeleteDang, nursery is dangerous!
Yikes. His first shiner. You should tell him to say, "I'm fine, but you should see the other guy!"
ReplyDeleteMy little boy always looks like this - all bruised and scratched up. It just shows how much fun his life is. BTW - I'm Kellan, nice to meet you. Take care.
ReplyDeletePoor Ty! I know how you feel. Carter was dragged across the carpet and got a rug burn on his forhead. The same day he broke out in hives, that turned into welts, all over his body. I had to take him to the doctor to figure it out and he looked at me like he should turn me in, but really didn't know what to do. It was so embarrassing. Hope all is well. XOXOXOX
ReplyDeleteAll I have to say is at least you didn't have to hold him down in the E.R. to get stitches. Boys are ALWAYS getting hurt!! Give him a kiss and hug from me! (and Spenny)
ReplyDeleteYowzers! Zoinks! Ouch! I'm sure that eye will look cute in all those Thanksgiving pics you'll probably take! Maggie had a shiner the week of July 4th (except we don't even know how she got it) and I still laugh at the pics.
ReplyDeleteOne of my kids always looked like a bruised piece of fruit at that age, and another still does at 8. If it will make you feel any better, my twins knocked the chalkboard off the wall onto themselves in nursery and one of my toddlers gave me a black eye. I had to work all that week in court and the prosecutor didn't seem to believe me.
ReplyDeleteOW! I swear though, it's all little boys. My kid constantly has scabs and bruises and wounds all over the place. I'd be worried that people would report me to Child Protective Services, but almost all three year old kids look the same way, tee hee
